Sylvia Ravaglia

Sport: Endurance

She started at Coconut Island in Hilo and she finished at Hapuna Beach State Park, but this was neither a walk in the park nor a day at the beach for Ravaglia.

Six stages, seven days, 155 miles. It makes you tired just thinking about it, especially when consider participants had to carry their own survival tools.

Ravaglia was the top female finisher at the inaugural Mauna to Mauna Ultra, handling a course that went up Mauna Loa and part of Mauna Kea in 34 hours, 32 minutes, 28 seconds.
